Film Lab’s The Opposite of a Fairy Tale is among the official selections of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation NY Short Film Showcase, featuring the best of the year’s New York based SAG-AFTRA short films. In the film, a woman is slowly imprisoned by her family with the unwitting help of well-meaning bystanders. The film aims to draw light to the epidemic of elder abuse affecting at least 1 in 10 seniors today. It was written by Film Lab President Jennifer Betit Yen and stars Jo Yang, Nikole Marone, Albert Chan, and Deborah Kuhn, among others. More here.
